Recycling the out of date marketing material has always been a priority for SLB and especially how it is processed and to what new life it has in the future. With this in mind we have always ensured that our clients waste marketing material is collected from our display racks and returned to our office and processed ready for recycling.
Once we have collected around 2 or 3 pallets worth of waste we call our recycling partners UK Paper Group Ltd based in Langer Nottinghamshire to arrange a collection of the out of date brochures and leaflets.
Over 70% of the waste paper is pulped in British paper mills and returned into the newspaper industry in the UK. The remaining waste cardboard is sent to the far east and pulped and returns to the UK as the cardboard packaging on imported goods such as televisions, washing machines and computers to name just a few of its uses.
